Abstract
This article analyses the description of what happened in the Mapuche world narrated by Francisco Núñez de Pineda and Bascuñan in the chronicle Happy Captivity. This is based on the revision and study of this literary work, which describes and illustrates the events that occurred during his captivity in 1629. The development and emphasis of the article is focused on describing and characterizing the location where the Mapuches erected constructions used for ritual purposes. This location and construction is depicted by the authors as being similar to what they use today as a place of worship (rogation), known as pampas dengillatún.
