Abstract

This article seeks to reflect on the spatial poetics in the films made by Cristián Sánchez during the Chilean military dictatorship, through its characters and their constant wandering. His heroes are expelled from the outside spaces of the city towards a meandering through inner zones; closed spaces that are deployed extensively following the paths left by the characters. We propose that the partial closure of exterior spaces responds tosurvival strategies imposed by the social and political crisis that begins in 1973.
