Abstract
Aesthetic knowledges is a balanced mingling of thought and sign. It creates a new, original sign whose perfection resides in its symbolic nature which suggest a kind of identity between its form and its significance. Verbum mentís which is the outcome of rational knowledge has its counterpart in verbum cordis which is intuitiva knowledge, which is itself the essence of art, by which we mean a form of knwledge that is new, spontaneous and non conceptual. Verbumcordis manifests itself through verbum oris in its widest sense of medium os artistic expression. The inherent quality of "verbo" of beauty explains its spiritual nature and the facts that both artistic and natural beauty are essentially the same: both speak directly to the soul without distancing themselves from matter.
