Abstract
In this study, we are proposed to consider that the novel Vaca Sagrada enlightens the critical aspects of a couple relationship. It is possible to perceive, in the universe created by Eltit, some elements that redeem the characters from their sordid destruction. The woman through the corridors of: suffering, erotic love and abandon; while, the man shows his more contradictory double profile: abusive possession and orphanhood.
