Abstract

This work states that Páginas de un diario by Lily Iñiguez breaks with the absolute complicity between an intimate diary and daily activities, allowing the arising of a tension that defines completely the organization of its meanings. Such tension is not other than a tension originated by the statute change from diary to work: a diary exists in the intimate space, a work belongs to the public scope. By no means, this is the result of a strategy; this is rather the result of the statement subject agony. It is death, which, finally, allows the definitive separation between diary and work, reinforcing besides the connotation of intimate space of a diary.
