Prison of Trees: The Intopic Search Through Writing Versus Dystopia and Surgical Control

Abstract
This paper presents a reading of the short science fiction novel, Prison of Trees by Rodrigo Rey Rosa, prioritizing the elements that give shape to the dystopia and model of surgical domination. Also, this paper analyses the writing process through the re- vision of the protagonist’s diary as a way of accessing an intopia as a mechanism of reconstructing subjectivity.
