Abstract

The conversion from analogic to digital television offers opportunities for new services and interactive content that in Chile can be found in TV channels webpages and in pay television, but that are not present in the current offer of Chilean digital terrestrial television. This paper describes the main results of an investigation that describes the different interactivity options in the television webpages. It also evaluates, trough a usability test, the television content platforms offered by pay television in Chile. The analysis demonstrated that both the display of contents and the interaction design are still far from a positive experience for the user
