Abstract

This work tries to take a critical reading of the detective story of vanguard in Latin America, to review,

on the one hand, the narrative forms of the vanguard and, on the other hand, to put in relation these forms

with the legal confi gurations that these stories suggest. It will be taken like analysis object, the story of

Vicente Huidobro and Hans Arp, “The Gardener of the Castle of Midnight (Detective Novel)”.
